Jeanette Sherwood RGN BSc Hons
Practice Nurse
Jeanette is our Senior Nurse in the Practice and has a wide range of responsibilities including child immunisations, smears, giving contraceptive advice, performing spirometry and Doppler studies as well as dressings and some blood collection.

She also runs the Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension and Coronary Heart disease Clinics as well as providing health checks for patients over 75 years old and for those with Learning disabilities.
Mandy Leathard
Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Mandy is our Nurse Practitioner who has involvement in all levels of clinical care. She is able to diagnose, investigate, treat and prescribe for most diseases.

She currently has clinics on Tuesday afternoon & evenings, Wednesday mornings and all day Thursday and Friday.

Practice Manager
Christine is responsible for the administration of our Practice.

Karen Liddle
Office Manager
Karen has worked at Annfield Plain Surgery for many years, starting as a junior receptionist when she left school.
Her long experience with the patients of our community combined with her organisational knowledge and abilities make her central to the smooth day-to-day running of the Practice.
Debra Platten
Secretary / Medical Receptionist /
Care Co-ordinator
Debra deals with all our hospital referrals and makes certain all the letters go to the correct clinician.
She also handles insurance report queries and secretarial duties as well as working at the front desk helping with practice appointments.
Laura Quinn
Medical Receptionist
Laura performs IT duties including scanning all paperwork and clinical notes maintenance, as well as handling 'over-the-counter' queries. Laura also works as a Health Care Assistant taking blood and checking blood pressures.
Susan Richards

Susan deals with 'over the counter' queries, prescription requests and making your appointment.

Arfan Hussain
Practice Clinical Pharmacist
Arfan joined Annfield Plain Surgery in 2017. He is committed to ensuring patients get the best out of their medication. He works closely with the GPs as well as the Admin team to ensure the practice is up to date with the latest prescribing guidelines. He conducts medication reviews with patients, checks hospital discharge letters, and liaises with the local community pharmacies to ensure patients receive the best care possible.

Cassie is available every day Monday to Friday but is based at Annfield Plain Surgery on Monday.
Our Physiotherapy Team

We are proud to work alongside our physiotherapy team comprising Julie and Louise who bring a wealth of clinical experience into the practice.
If you have injured your bones or joints in the last 12 weeks Julie or Louise may be able to help you get better much more quickly!
If you would like to speak to them about your problem please call the practice reception on 01207 215005 to arrange a telephone triage appointment with one of them. They will talk to you about your problem and where necessary arrange to see you face to face at the surgery for further treatment.
